Through the historical, entrenched standards of custom and tradition there evolves within all tribal regimes a defined provision of Free Prior Informed Consent - i.e., the vested right to have adequate knowledge of a specific issue; and, therein, to be afforded the reasonable opportunity to consider the four corners of the question before taking a defined position regarding either to accept or to decline the matter.
